Is the time on the receipt important?

If no time is printed on the receipt, the receipt can still be submitted. If a time is printed on the receipt, it is used to differentiate whether breakfast or lunch or dinner is counted. Up to 11 a.m. the meal is considered breakfast, after that it is considered lunch or dinner. This is relevant for the tax office, as there are different allowances for breakfast and lunch/dinner.

Breakfast: until 11am
Lunch/dinner: from 11am
