Instructions for installing the WebApp on an Android smartphone

In order to have quick and easy access to the billyard WebApp permanently, we recommend that you add it as an icon on your home screen. In the following instructions, we explain how to do the set up in less than two minutes.

Scan the displayed QR code with your smartphone and open the link displayed:

Simply open your smartphone's camera app and point it to the QR code shown above. The markings indicate that your smartphone recognizes the code and displays a window below the QR code with the link to the WebApp (https://siemens-energy.billyard.de). You can simply click on them to open the web app.

Should you have an older smartphone without a QR code function in the camera app or access this page via your smartphone, you can also access the WebApp manually - more on this in the following section. 

First of all, there are different web browsers for each Android device. The web browser is the app with which you access websites or "go online". This may vary from device to device. The following icons show four of the most common browser types. 

We will show you how to install the WebApp with the Google Chrome web browser. Installation with other browsers usually works very similarly.

Now simply tap on the Google Chrome icon, the web browser (Chrome) will open:

Tap on the address line to enter the name of the web app (siemens-energy.billyard.de) and confirm the input.

It is important that you enter the address (URL) in the top line and not in the Google search line.

Welcome to the WebApp

You almost made it. To be able to access our WebApp simply and easily without having to enter the address every time, you can save our app icon on your home screen - just like you are used to from your other apps.

Now just click on the pink button "Add to home screen."

You can also find the “Add to home screen” function by clicking on the three dots at the top right of the screen, to the right of the address bar. In some browser versions, this menu may also be displayed at the bottom right.

The following dialog is displayed - Please tap on: “Install”.

That's it already

The billyard WebApp is now on your home screen and can be opened at the touch of a finger - it's that easy!
