How to install the WebApp on an Android smartphone

To permanently have fast and easy access to the billyard WebApp, we recommend adding it as an icon on your home screen. In the following guide, we will explain how to do this in less than two minutes.

Scan the displayed QR code with your smartphone and open the link displayed:

Just open the Camera App of your smartphone and direct it to the above shown QR Code. The markers signal that your smartphone recognizes the code and shows a dialog under the QR code with the link to the WebApp (https://webapp.billyard.de). You can simply click on the link to open the WebApp.

Should you have an older smartphone without QR code function build in the camera app or if you view this page on your smartphone, you can also launch the WebApp manually - more in the following paragraph.

First of all, there are different web browsers for each Android device. The web browser is the app to access websites or to go online. The browser typ can vary from device to device. The icons below show four of the most common browser types.

We show you how to install the WebApp by using Google Chrome Web Browser (Icon Fig. 1). Installation with other browsers usually works very similar.

Now simply tap the Google Chrome icon; the web browser (Chrome) launches:

Tap on the url field and to enter the name of the WebApp (webbapp.billyard.de) and confirm.

It's important that you enter the URL in the upper field  and not in the Google search field.

Welcome to the WebApp

You almost made it. In order to be able to access our WebApp easily without entering the URL every time, you can save our app icon to your home screen - just like you know it from your other apps..

Now just click the pink button "Add to home screen".

You can also find the "Add to home screen" function by clicking on the three dots at the top right of the address bar. For some browsers, this menu can also be found at the bottom right.

The following dialog is displayed - Please tap: "Install".

That's it!

The billyard WebApp is now on your home screen and can be launched with a fingerprint - so easy!
